Moving and adapting from a home to a military base and deployment and then back to American soil and civilian life is quiet the feat! This article is to help you begin processing something called third culture kids that affect overseas expats AND military families.

Military make up the most cross-cultural personnel overseas! But resources to help military and their families adapt and adjust are at an all time low since WWII when reentigration camps were the norm.

Did you know for jet lag alone, every hour you skip is a day in adjusting back to a normal sleep schedule? For every week oversees or in a new environment, we need a day, at minimum to process and decompress the alteration in our normal routine and values. A day! but most deployments range from 9 - 18 months! Being intentional in the circle of return to your home is crucial. With good practice, this can occur more quickly and more effectively. I want to wa;k you through the process to make you more aware and intentional about the spaces we enter and exit upon the natural occurrence of military assignment and our relationships we hold most dear.

Picture the next six weeks. What can you truly accomplish that wou;d make you proud, satisfied, and at peace on a simple level.
